Scholarships are awarded based upon various criteria, such as academic merit, diversity and inclusion, athletic skill, financial need, among others. Or some combination of these criteria. Scholarship criteria usually reflect the values and goals of the donor or founder of the award. While scholarship recipients are not required to repay scholarships, the awards may require that the recipient continue to meet certain requirements during their period of support, such maintaining a minimum grade point average or engaging in a certain activity (e.g., playing on a college sports team for athletic scholarship holders). Scholarships are provided by both Central & State Governments provides Scholarship to the students who are admitted to various arts and science course in their first year of study, provided they have secured 505 marks and above in the qualifying examinations. The quantum of Scholarship amounts to Rs. 10000/- and Rs. 12,000/- for Degree and post – graduate courses respectively.
