The National Service Scheme unit of the college is one of the leading units in Kerala. The unit won various awards at the State level and has been adjudged the best unit for the activities, which include conducting surveys on health, literacy, economic upliftment, etc. The humanitarian activities of the unit include blood donation, free medical and eye camps, and the construction of houses for the poor. Students are admitted to the NSS in the first year of their course of study. Service camps are regularly organized in the villages of Kottarakara and activities such as road construction, providing sanitary facilities to the poor, literacy work, etc. are undertaken. Weightage of marks is awarded to members when they seek admission to courses of higher studies.
