The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) is a methodology adopted by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, to rank institutions of higher education in India. The Framework was approved and launched by the MHRD on 29 September 2015. There are separate rankings for different types of institutions depending on their areas of operation like universities and colleges, engineering institutions, management institutions, pharmacy institutions and architecture institutions. The parameters used by the Framework have been grouped into the following five clusters: (1) Teaching, Learning & Resources, (2) Research and Professional Practice, (3) Graduation Outcomes, (4) Outreach and Inclusivity, and (5) Perception. These clusters were assigned weightages depending on the type of institution. St. Gregorios College is participating in the NIRF Data Capturing System, since 2019.
