The central library of the college has nearly 35000 books and a good number of periodicals and journals. It has a separate reference section consisting of encyclopaedias, dictionaries and other important reference books. The library follows Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) and uses Browney system for the issue of books. The books are computer catalogued, permitting the users to perform computerised search for the books they want. All the books are barcoded and hence the library is able to follow a fully automated system of book issue.
The reprographic centre attached to the library caters to the photocopying needs of the students and staff. Computer terminals are also provided in the library for enabling students to search for the physical volumes of books and journals available in the library and to access virtual academic resources over the internet. Latest additions to the facilities offered by the college library is the subscription to the INFLIBNET N-LIST programme, which is a vast repository of thousands of online journals and e-books.
All students are expected to adhere to the rules of the library, without fail. (Click here to view Library Rules)
